Grounds Person / Tree & Landscape Laborer

Malcarne Tree is growing and looking to add dependable, hardworking team members to our tree and landscape crew.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, is comfortable with physical labor, and wants to build a long-term career with a respected local company. The Grounds Person / Tree & Landscape Laborer will assist our crews with tree work, cleanup, landscaping tasks, equipment handling, and general job site support.

Responsibilities

• Assist tree crews with ground operations during tree removal, pruning, trimming, and storm cleanup work
• Drag, carry, cut, and stack brush, limbs, logs, and debris
• Use chainsaws, hand tools, power tools, rakes, shovels, blowers, and other equipment safely
• Feed brush and debris into wood chippers under proper supervision and safety procedures
• Help maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites
• Assist with landscaping tasks such as mulching, planting, grading, cleanup, and general property maintenance
• Load and unload trucks, trailers, tools, and materials
• Support crews with setup and cleanup of equipment, cones, signs, ropes, and work zones
• Follow all company safety procedures and instructions from crew leaders
• Work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions
• Perform other general labor duties as needed

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license required
• Prior experience with chainsaws, hand tools, power tools, or landscaping equipment preferred
• Tree work, landscaping, construction, or outdoor labor experience preferred
• Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
• Must be comfortable performing physically demanding work
• Ability to lift, carry, drag, and move heavy materials throughout the workday
• Willingness to learn proper safety practices and tree care procedures
• Ability to follow directions and communicate clearly with supervisors and crew members
• Must take job site safety seriously
