Duties

• Plant, prune, fertilize, and water a variety of trees, shrubs, flowers, and lawns to ensure healthy growth and vibrant landscapes
• Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently for planting, trimming, edging, and other landscaping tasks
• Install irrigation systems to optimize water use and maintain healthy plant life
• Maintain greenhouse environments by managing growing conditions, transplanting seedlings, and monitoring plant health
• Conduct landscape maintenance activities including mowing lawns, aerating soil, mulching beds, and weed control
• Assist with farming activities such as soil preparation, crop planting, harvesting, and crop rotation practices when applicable
• Implement landscape design plans by laying out planting beds and installing features such as pathways or decorative elements

Skills

• Proven experience in gardening, horticulture, or landscape maintenance with a strong understanding of plant care principles
• Knowledge of irrigation systems installation and troubleshooting techniques
• Hands-on experience working in greenhouses with seedlings or mature plants
• Growing experience in managing plant health through fertilization, pest control, and disease prevention
• Familiarity with lawn care practices including mowing, aerating, fertilizing, and aeration techniques
