OBJECTIVE

Under the direction of the Landscape Crew Leader, the Crew Member is responsible for assisting in the implementation of landscape projects and various other related duties.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Loads plants, materials and tools necessary for implementation of each day’s work, to prevent unnecessary return trips to the nursery.
• Installs plants and materials on landscape projects, in a culturally appropriate manner, to ensure serviceability of plant material and a professional appearance of the project.
• Operates equipment and handles tools necessary for implementation of the landscape project, in a safe and efficient manner, to expedite the completion of the project and to ensure safety.
• Assists in keeping the project site as clean as possible, and assists in leaving the site clean and free of debris at the end of each day, to avoid unnecessary liability and inconvenience at clients’ property.
• Assists in unloading trucks at the end of each day and in returning plants and materials to their proper places, to prevent the build-up of debris, and to ensure the health of the plant material.
• Reports to work on a timely and regular basis.
• Completes special projects and performs other duties as requested.
