Landscape Crew Leader

Job Summary

The Landscape Crew Leader is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily activities of a landscape crew to ensure high-quality work and efficient use of resources. This role involves supervising team members, managing project schedules, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills and extensive knowledge of landscaping practices and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of landscape workers in the execution of various landscaping projects, including planting, pruning, mulching, and irrigation.
• Plan and manage daily work schedules, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Train and mentor crew members, providing guidance and support to improve skills and performance.
• Inspect work sites to ensure quality standards are met and identify any issues that need to be addressed.
• Operate and maintain landscaping equipment, including mowers, trimmers, and other tools.
• Communicate effectively with Account Management to understand client needs and ensure satisfaction with landscaping services.
• Enforce safety protocols and best practices to ensure a safe working environment for all crew members.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and any incidents or accidents.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certification in landscaping or horticulture is a plus.
• Proven experience as a landscape crew leader or similar supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of landscaping techniques, equipment, and safety procedures.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Good physical condition and the ability to perform manual labor in various weather conditions.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
