Duties

• Install, repair, and maintain irrigation systems using a variety of hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment such as excavators.
• Conduct routine inspections of irrigation components to identify leaks, clogs, or malfunctions, ensuring efficient water usage.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues with irrigation controllers, valves, pumps, and sprinkler heads, applying your mechanical knowledge for quick resolution.
• Perform seasonal adjustments and system upgrades to optimize water efficiency and support healthy orchard and plant growth.
• Maintain detailed records of system repairs, inspections, and modifications for ongoing system performance tracking.
• Assist with general landscape maintenance tasks including lawn care, pruning, and soil preparation as needed.
• Mix and inject fertigation recipes as directed.

Qualifications

• Proven mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience working with irrigation systems and related equipment.
• Experience operating hand tools, power tools, excavators, and construction equipment safely and effectively.
• Strong understanding of irrigation components including controllers, valves, pumps, sprinkler heads, and drainage systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues efficiently and perform repairs independently or as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills with a proactive attitude toward safety protocols and quality standards.
