POSITION SUMMARY

Extero is seeking a skilled and motivated Irrigation Technician to join our growing Commercial Irrigation Division. This position is primarily responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and installation of commercial irrigation systems.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter who enjoys solving problems, working outdoors, and providing exceptional service to commercial clients. While irrigation will be the primary focus of this position, team members are expected to assist with other commercial landscape and seasonal operations when irrigation work is not required.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES – Commercial Irrigation Services

• Perform spring activations and winterization services.
• Diagnose and repair irrigation system issues including valves, controllers, wiring, heads, nozzles, and mainline or lateral line breaks.
• Install, modify, and upgrade commercial irrigation systems.
• Program and troubleshoot smart irrigation controllers.
• Conduct system audits and inspections to improve efficiency and water conservation.
• Monitor system performance and proactively identify maintenance needs.
• Read and interpret irrigation plans and system layouts.
• Maintain accurate service records, site notes, and work orders.
• Communicate recommendations and findings to management.
• Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to Extero quality standards.
