Irrigation Technician

DVI Water Management, llc is looking for a reliable and experienced Irrigation Technician to install and service our client’s irrigation systems. Commercial & Residential. As the Irrigation Technician, you will be responsible for mapping out irrigation areas, digging trenches (with machine and by hand sometimes), installing equipment, testing the system, and conducting regular maintenance checks.

To ensure success as an irrigation technician, you should exhibit a strong work ethic, have detailed knowledge of irrigation techniques, and be able to operate heavy machinery when required.

Irrigation Technician Responsibilities

• Inspecting and loading equipment for the day’s work.
• Driving to the work location for the day's work.
• Digging trenches and installing pipes and lines.
• Installing pumps and electrical timers.
• Testing the irrigation system with the aid of computer software.
• Conducting routine maintenance checks.
• Troubleshooting and replacing faulty parts.
• Completing progress reports and associated paperwork.

Irrigation Technician Requirements

• Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair field wiring issues including using wire tracker to locate problems.
• Proven work experience as an Irrigation Technician.
• Knowledge of irrigation systems.
• Good communication skills.
• Use App on phone for GPS Clock In for work.
• Valid Florida Driver's License.
• Ability to work outside in all weather conditions.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects.
• Willing to learn new things. GPS Mapping, Drip Irrigation, etc.
• Understand pipe sizing charts based on total flow and velocity.
• Know how to use a Volt Meter.
• Have personal hand tools.

Paid weekly on Fridays with Direct Deposit.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract, Temporary

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
