Irrigation Technician

Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Director of Agronomy and the Golf Course Superintendent to ensure effective irrigation system operations and schedule of operations, maintenance, and additional construction needed.
• Responsible for maintaining the irrigation equipment for the golf course, which includes sprinklers, water lines, pumps, suction devices, valves and other plumbing equipment.
• Oversees the implementation of the irrigation systems, including mechanical and electrical systems.
• Maintaining all irrigation systems by monitoring and evaluating overall performance of the irrigation system.
• Repairs sprinklers and pipes on the golf course, when needed, while regularly checking the conditions of the equipment, and keeping them clean and adjusted for the course.
• Able to work without supervision on a range of irrigation maintenance on a day to day basis.
• Maintains inventory of parts needed and associated with the irrigation system and orders new parts when needed.
• Any other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Three (3) to five (5) years of experience.
• Experience in golf course irrigation installation and repair.
• Experience in operating golf course irrigation equipment.
