About Our Organization

Hours/Week

: 40 hours plus overtime potential / full time year around position

Irrigation technicians are responsible for the installation and maintenance of irrigation systems. The job requires regular physical labor outdoors in a variety of weather conditions. Maintenance tasks performed by the irrigation technician includes replacing and repairing valves, installing controllers, locating existing irrigation zones and lines, repairing pumps, glueing pvc pipe and fittings, backflow testing and repair, and “winterizing” equipment to prevent freeze damage. The job often requires irrigation technicians to consult blueprints and diagrams to locate existing equipment and/or upon installation of new systems, as well as in the course of repairs on existing systems. Irrigation technicians are responsible for conducting irrigation sytems evaluations for efficency and performance. Ongoing customer service and consultative sales while maintaining the highest standards of customer service and safety. Good organizational and interpersonal skills are required.
