Hardscape Laborer

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Landscape Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for outdoor work and a strong understanding of landscape maintenance practices. This role involves a variety of tasks aimed at enhancing and maintaining the aesthetic appeal of residential and commercial properties. The Landscape Technician will work closely with clients to ensure their landscaping needs are met while adhering to safety standards and best practices. Most are able to build retaining walls lay pavers and do hardscape. Has to have a license.

Responsibilities

• Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, and edging lawns.
• Execute tree care activities such as pruning, planting, and removal as needed.
• Install hardscape features including patios, walkways, and retaining walls.
• Operate power tools and equipment safely and efficiently for various landscaping tasks.
• Irrigate landscapes effectively to ensure optimal plant health.
• Dig and prepare soil for planting, ensuring proper depth and quality.
• Assist with snow plowing during winter months to maintain accessibility for clients.
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Communicate with clients regarding their landscaping needs and provide recommendations.

Skills

• Proficiency in landscape maintenance techniques and practices.
• Experience in tree care, including knowledge of proper pruning methods.
• Familiarity with hardscape installation processes and materials.
• Ability to operate various power tools safely, including mowers, trimmers, and blowers.
• Strong understanding of irrigation systems and water management practices.
• Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks such as digging and lifting.
• Attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
• Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to work independently when required.
