As a Groundskeeper, you will be responsible for the maintenance and cleanliness of the grounds of Samaritan Healthcare surrounding the hospital, parking lots, and other designated buildings. This includes mowing, fertilizing, watering, sprinkler system maintenance, pruning, weeding, snow removal, and installing ground cover as needed to maintain an attractive and well-kept landscape. This role includes the safe use of a variety of tools, and equipment, working year-round and in all weather conditions.

This is a Full-time, benefits eligible day shift position working 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Education

* High school diploma or GED.

License

* Possession of a valid driver’s license required.

Experience

* Two (2) years groundskeeping experience preferred.

Skills/Competencies

• Knowledge of various functions of grounds maintenance including lawn care, pruning, planting, irrigation, and sprinkler control/systems.
• Familiar with use of tractors, mowers, trimmers, edgers, leaf vacs & blowers, snow removal equipment and a variety of electrical hand power tools including drill motors and grinders.
• Demonstrated computer experience (work order software).
• Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (HCP) level to be completed within 3 months of hire.
• Demonstrates competency on equipment listed on department specific checklist.
