Position is responsible for providing technical support, skills and labor towards the routine care and maintenance of a clean, beautiful and safe campus environment. Works in concert with the grounds team to maintain and enhance the function and aesthetics of the campus grounds. Position is classified as essential personnel under college policy and is subject to college and department policies regarding essential personnel. Performs essential duties as identified by management and incident response team related to inclement or hazardous weather events.

Duties

• Leads in the operation, maintenance and repair of campus irrigation systems and pump stations.
• Operates heavy equipment including zero turn mowers, articulating tractor, skid steer tractor, farm tractor, and large area mowers in the routine completion grounds maintenance tasks.
• Routinely clears sidewalks, entrances, courtyards, campus roads and parking lots of debris using tractor with hydraulic high-powered blower.
• Performs routine lawn and landscape maintenance including mowing edging, weeding, tree and shrub pruning
• Routinely clears of sidewalks, entrances, courtyards, campus roads and parking lots using tractor with hydraulic high-powered blower.
• Routinely collects and properly disposes of litter, trash, organic debris and recyclables in assigned areas.
• Assists in the routine maintenance of athletic fields and facilities.
• Assists in the repair of brick sidewalks, road signs, parking lots and campus roads surfaces.
