Hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. before Memorial Day and after Labor Day

Hours are 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. May 27th to August 30th

(Memorial Day until Labor Day) Join the City of Casper’s Weed and Pest / Urban Forestry team and help keep our community safe, clean, and green! This seasonal Grounds Maintenance Technician position offers hands-on outdoor work and the opportunity to make a visible impact throughout the city.

What You’ll Do

A typical day in this role may include:

• Picking up litter and maintaining public areas
• Mowing, weed eating, and caring for native grass areas
• Planting trees and assisting with watering, pruning, and minimal tree removal
• Supporting seasonal urban forestry and weed/pest control projects

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, being part of a team, and taking pride in helping the community look its best.

Incumbents are responsible for performing tasks involved in the general maintenance of a seasonal operation primarily outside of a recreation facility with routine manual labor work.

REPORTING STRUCTURE

Receives direction from higher level Parks and Recreation supervisory and management staff. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES 1.
