Building and Grounds Maintenance-SALARY RANGE: District Classified Salary Schedule- $20-26. Must be 16 years or olderPROCEDURE FOR APPLICATION: Internal applicants, please submit an email letter of interest and a current resume listing your qualifications and experiences for the position to Andrew Moore (Transportation/Operations Director),cmoore@weld8.org, or call 303-857-7370BUILDING AND GROUNDS MAINTENANCE PURPOSE: Performs maintenance in school buildings and grounds; maintains equipment in optimal condition; and provides assistance with custodial, students, teachers, visitors and others as necessary. Performs related duties and general maintenance work as required.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:+ Help keep the campus clean by picking up trash and pulling weeds + Mow lawns and help keep grass areas looking nice + Set up spaces for sports, events, and school activities + Drive district vehicles to different work locations (if eligible) + Use basic tools and equipment like mowers and trimmers + Help remove snow when needed + Respond to urgent clean-up or safety needs + Help with basic repairs and upkeep of school buildings + Assist with irrigation (sprinkler) systems + Set up rooms and spaces for indoor events + Move equipment, furniture, and supplies as needed + Help unload deliveries and organize supplies + Work with and support custodial staff
