Senior level Landscape Gardener

Garden Nest Residential Landscape, an award-winning design build company located in Orinda is currently seeking a Senior level Landscape Maintenance Gardener. Join our crew of experienced gardeners and management team with opportunities for advancement and growth.

Responsibilities

• Experience directing crew members, foreman, staff supervisor or lead gardener
• Independent worker, able to work alone or on a team, with little supervision
• High attention to detail and aesthetics
• Stong Plant identification knowledge and Pest manangement protocals
• Reliable, punctual and trustworthy
• Follow safety policies and procedures
• Understanding and complying with company quality standards and client’s needs/expectations.
• Executing general maintenance, to include operating small hand tools and battery operated tools; seasonally appropriate pruning, weeding, raking, fertilizing, planting, mulching, pest control and general landscape duties as directed.

Basic Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and proof of a clean driving record. Insured.
• Landscape horticulture or construction experience or related education
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. unassisted and no physical impairments that would not allow tasks outlined here to be completed

Eligibility Requirements

• 3-5 years landscape field experience and or horticulture education/background
• Knowledge of plant identification, pest management, and water requirements
• Knowledge and experience maintaining landscape tools and small engines
• 1-2 years experience repairing and maintaining irrigation systems and low-voltage lighting systems a plus
• 1-2 years landscape construction experience a plus
