Project Manager, Landscape Construction

Overview

The Project Manager is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing landscape construction projects from planning through completion. This role ensures that all field operations are executed safely, efficiently, and to high-quality standards while meeting schedule, budget, and client expectations. The PM coordinates managers, Foremen, crews, subcontractors, and jobsite execution while coordinating closely with office leadership and the Project Account Manager. Responsibilities

• Lead landscape construction projects from mobilization through completion
• Coordinate with Foremen, crews, subcontractors, and field operations
• Suggest construction sequencing, methods, and jobsite execution
• Ensure quality, safety, and design intent are maintained
• Maintain clean, organized, and compliant job sites
• Organize daily and weekly construction schedules
• Assign crew, equipment, and resources to active projects
• Coordinate material availability and jobsite readiness
• Communicate production goals and deadlines with field teams
• Review plans, drawings, and field conditions to make real-time decisions
• Ensure workmanship quality and correct deficiencies when needed
• Conduct site inspections and support warranty evaluations
• Coordinate daily with Foremen, crews, and subcontractors
• Communicate project progress, risks, and delays to office leadership
• Support coordination with clients, Landscape Architects, and Project Account Managers
• Ensure alignment between field execution and project expectations
• Help successfully manage the relationship with clients, outside Architects, and General Contractors
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Construction Manager
• Oversee and coordinate the Safety Program for assigned region
• Manage construction administration including contracts and subcontract agreements
• Handle 20-day preliminary notices and job progress reporting
• Coordinate with Accounts Payable to ensure vendor, supplier, and subcontractor invoices align with contracts
• Ensure change orders are properly included in invoicing
• Resolve payment, invoice, and contract discrepancies as needed
• Support project billing by tracking completed work and field progress
• Track labor, materials, equipment usage, and job costs
• Coordinate and work with Human Resources on Construction Human Resources issues, write-ups, phone and equipment organization, inventory of tools and company vehicles
• Assist with budget control and profitability awareness
• Maintain jobsite documentation, progress photos, and field notes
• Provide accurate field data for invoicing and financial reporting
• Support record drawings and project closeout documentation

Qualifications

• 5+ year’s experience in construction, landscaping, or related field leadership role
• Strong knowledge of landscape construction (hardscape, grading, irrigation, drainage, planting)
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
• Experience managing crews, schedules, and multiple projects
• Valid driver’s license and clean DMV record required
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) required
• High school diploma or GED preferred

Pay: $80,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
