Licensed Landscape Applicator

Avalon Landscapes, a rapidly expanding company, is seeking a Licensed Landscape Applicator to join our dedicated team in Meridian, ID. We pride ourselves on bringing our customers' vision for beautiful landscape design to life. As a key member of our team, you will diagnose and treat turf and ornamental plants' needs with minimal supervision. This position offers a challenging and rewarding opportunity for individuals passionate about landscape design and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat turf and ornamental plants' needs
• Mow lawns using both riding and push mowers
• Trim and edge around sidewalks, flower beds, and walls
• Apply pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers
• Trim/prune trees and shrubs
• Clean lawn debris with rakes, shovels, and blowers
• Shovel snow and apply salt to walkways and driveways

Qualifications

------------------

• At least two seasons of experience as an applicator from a reputable company
• Valid ornamental herbicide applicators license from the State of Idaho
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Proficiency in operating standard landscaping machinery such as riding mowers, trimmers, and blowers
• Ability to work variable hours which may include weekends, holidays and overtime
• Comfortable working in a variety of weather conditions
• Passed Ornamental Herbicide and Core Competency exams

Competitive pay is offered, with higher compensation available for candidates with additional certifications, especially ornamental insecticide.
