Job Description

Join one of the largest commercial exterior services companies in the south east.

Supervision and Direction: The crew leader oversees the work of the landscaping team, typically consisting of 2-5 crew members. They assign tasks, motivate the team, and ensure that all work is completed efficiently and to high standards
Quality Control: They are responsible for maintaining quality control throughout the project, ensuring that all landscaping practices meet the required specifications and safety standards.
Communication: Acting as a liaison between the crew, management, and clients, the crew leader communicates project updates, addresses concerns, and resolves any issues that arise on-site.
Training and Development: The crew leader trains new crew members in the safe and effective use of tools and techniques, fostering a culture of safety and professionalism within the team.
Equipment Management: They oversee the maintenance and operation of landscaping equipment, ensuring that all tools are in good working condition and used safely.
Project Documentation: The crew leader is responsible for keeping records of work completed, materials used, and any incidents that occur during the project, which helps in tracking progress and making informed decisions .

Skills and Qualifications

Experience in Landscaping: A strong background in landscaping practices and techniques is essential, along with knowledge of horticulture and turf management
Leadership Skills: The ability to lead and motivate a team is crucial, as well as effective communication skills to interact with clients and management .

The successful applicant will have a valid drivers license with a 3 year clean driving record. Must be able to use the equipment that you would typically expect from a lawn care company. Must pass a drug test and will be tested throughout their employment. Must be physically fit and able to work in the heat of summer and the cold of winter.

Must be able to lift and carry 50-75 pounds. Must be able to use a commercial back pack blower for extended periods of time.

Dependable performance and attendance is a must. Full time employment not seasonal!!
