Duties

• Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, edging, pruning, and fertilizing to keep lawns and gardens thriving
• Identify and care for a wide variety of plants, trees, shrubs, and flowers to promote healthy growth
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy machinery such as excavators safely and efficiently for landscaping projects
• Install and maintain irrigation systems to ensure optimal watering schedules and plant health
• Manage pest control through pesticide application following safety guidelines and environmental standards
• Construct hardscape features like patios, walkways, retaining walls, and other outdoor structures
• Conduct seasonal snow plowing operations to keep properties accessible during winter months

Experience

• Proven experience in landscape maintenance or gardening preferred; construction experience is a plus
• Strong mechanical knowledge of landscaping equipment and tools
• Familiarity with plant identification, horticulture practices, and tree care techniques
• Knowledge of irrigation systems installation and troubleshooting
• Ability to operate heavy machinery such as excavators safely and effectively
• Experience with snow plowing and winter storm management is advantageous
