Duties

• Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, edging, pruning, and weeding to keep outdoor areas pristine and healthy
• Identify various plants, trees, and shrubs to ensure proper care and health management
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy machinery such as excavators for planting, grading, and construction projects
• Manage irrigation systems to ensure efficient watering and system repairs as needed
• Apply pesticides and fertilizers following safety protocols to protect plants and maintain pest-free landscapes
• Install hardscape features like patios, walkways, retaining walls, and other outdoor structures
• Conduct tree trimming and pruning to promote growth and safety while maintaining aesthetic appeal

Qualifications

• Mechanical knowledge related to landscaping equipment and tools is essential
• Prior experience in landscape maintenance or gardening is highly preferred
• Ability to identify plants and diagnose common horticultural issues confidently
• Knowledge of pesticide management practices in compliance with safety standards
• Construction experience or familiarity with hardscape installation is a plus
• Experience operating irrigation systems, lawn care equipment, and snow plowing machinery preferred
