Landscaping Estimator

Job Summary

The Landscaping Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for landscaping and irrigation projects. This role analyzes blueprints, specifications, and site conditions to determine labor, materials, equipment, and time requirements. The estimator plays a key role in securing profitable projects by delivering timely bids and supporting project planning.

Key Responsibilities

• Review project plans, blueprints, and specifications to understand scope of work
• Prepare itemized cost estimates including labor, equipment, materials, and subcontractor costs
• Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotes
• Develop and submit bids, proposals, and cost breakdowns
• Ensure estimates meet company margin and profitability goals
• Support contract negotiations and respond to client inquiries during the bidding process

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (required)
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in construction management, horticulture, landscape architecture, or related field (preferred)
• 2+ years of experience in landscaping, construction estimating, or related field
• Strong knowledge of landscaping materials, irrigation systems, and hardscape construction
• Proficiency in estimating software, Microsoft Excel, and project management tools
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and technical specifications

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
