Position Summary

The Landscape Maintenance Crew Helper assists the Foreman in performing all aspects of landscape maintenance for residential and commercial properties. This position supports the daily operations of the maintenance crew to ensure properties are maintained to company standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. Previous landscape maintenance experience is required.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Foreman in maintaining assigned properties, including mowing, edging, trimming, blowing, pruning, and weeding.
• Help load, unload, and organize tools, materials, and equipment each day.
• Operate landscape maintenance equipment safely and efficiently (e.g., mowers, trimmers, blowers, hedge trimmers).
• Support cleanup and preparation of job sites, ensuring all work areas are left neat and professional.
• Follow instructions from the Foreman and work cooperatively with team members to complete daily tasks on schedule.
• Identify and report any landscape issues such as pests, irrigation problems, or plant health concerns.
• Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures at all times.
• Maintain a professional appearance and represent the company in a courteous manner when on client properties.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in landscape maintenance or groundskeeping required.
• Ability to safely operate standard landscape equipment and use hand tools.
• Physically able to perform outdoor labor in various weather conditions.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to follow directions closely.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license preferred but not required.

Work Environment

This position involves outdoor work year-round, including exposure to heat, cold, and varying weather conditions. Regular lifting, bending, and extended periods of physical activity are required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
