Landscape laborer/equipment operator

*Landscaper/Equipment Operator* Windview Athletic Fields is looking for a highly motivated individual with a strong interest in Athletic Field Maintenance and Landscaping who has a minimum of 1 year of similar experience. The position is primarily a landscape laborer/equipment operator

• Operate company trucks and trailers
• Zero turn mowing and wide area mowing on athletic fields
• String Trimming and Non-selective weed control applications
• Spot Seeding Using A Rotary Spreader
• Assist in Sodding Worn Areas
• Assist in Fertilizer Applications, Infield Preparation, and Field Set-Up
• Tractor operation to aerate, seed, fertilize sports fields and golf courses

The employee must be able to work long hours in all weather conditions. A typical day at Windview Athletic Fields begins at 6AM and usually ends around 4-5PM. Some of the further requirements are as followed but not limited to:

• Lifting 50 lb. bags of seed and fertilizer
• Operate additional hand held equipment
• Work under time restricted conditions. The position runs through the entire growing season, usually until late November (weather dependent). Following a successful season, the opportunity to stay on as a full time staff member is possible to assist with equipment maintenance and prepare for the following growing season. Employee must be able to pass background check and have clean driving record.

Experience in a similar field is strongly recommended but not required. Pay will be $18-22 per hour dependent on experience with overtime available.
