Landscape/gardening assistant

Overview

We are a small business seeking committed and reliable individuals for part-time gardening and landscape projects. This is a perfect summer job for the right person(s). Scheduling is flexible but shifts are typically 20-25 hours per week. Most of our work is in SE Portland.

Duties

• Assist with landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, edging, pruning, mulching, transplanting and planting to keep outdoor areas vibrant and well-kept
• Support irrigation system setup, inspection, and repair to ensure optimal watering of plants and lawns
• Operate hand tools and power tools safely for planting, trimming, and soil preparation
• Help with lawn care routines including fertilization, aeration, and weed control to maintain pristine turf conditions

Qualifications

• Reliability is our first priority - showing up on time, caring for tools appropriately, taking instruction and guidance.
• We have devoted customers; a positive attitude and good people skills are essential.
• The ideal candidate will also have strong spatial awareness and critical thinking skills.
• Gardening experience would be helpful but is not required.
• Ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively is a plus.
• Strong work ethic with the ability to follow safety protocols is a must.
• Must be 18 or older, preferably with a driver's license.
