Irrigation Technician

Position Overview

This dual-role position is responsible for

• Irrigation Service & Repairs Diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and optimizing residential and commercial irrigation systems.
• Shop & Equipment Management Overseeing the organization, maintenance, and readiness of company vehicles, tools, and equipment.

You will play a key role in ensuring our clients systems perform reliably and our crews have safe, well-maintained equipment ready for daily operations.

Key Responsibilities

### Irrigation Service Technician Duties

• Diagnose and repair irrigation systems, including controllers, valves, wiring, and lateral lines
• Perform system start-ups, winterizations, and inspections
• Troubleshoot electrical and hydraulic issues
• Identify efficiency improvements and water-saving opportunities
• Communicate clearly with clients regarding repairs and recommendations
• Document work performed and materials used

### Shop & Equipment Manager Duties

• Oversee maintenance schedules for company vehicles and equipment
• Maintain organized shop layout and inventory systems
• Track tool and equipment usage and condition
• Coordinate repairs and preventive maintenance
• Ensure crews leave daily with fully operational equipment
• Maintain a clean, safe, and professional shop environment

Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who

• Has irrigation service experience (minimum 23 years preferred)
• Possesses strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• Is highly organized and systems-oriented
• Takes ownership and responsibility seriously
• Demonstrates leadership and accountability
• Communicates professionally with clients and team members
• Holds a valid drivers license (clean driving record preferred)
