Education

* High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience

* 2-4 years of experience required in the same or similar previous positions (park or sports field experience is preferred but not required).

Licenses/Certifications/Special Requirements

• A valid Arizona Driver's License upon hire.
• The ability to obtain a backflow assembly certification within 6 months of hire.
• The ability to obtain a Water Audit Certification within 12 months of hire.

Desired Qualifications

• Parks or sports field experience.
• Municipal irrigation or landscape maintenance experience.
• Possess considerable independent and professional judgement.
• Be willing to work flexible schedules to meet the demands of the position.

Hiring Range

$23.45 - $27.91 per hour depending on qualifications

The City of Peoria Parks and Recreation Department is seeking an Irrigation Technician for the Sports Complex, Neighborhood Parks and Community Parks. This is a full time, benefitted position that will provide irrigation repair, maintenance, and programming to parks across our city.
