Irrigation Technician

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Irrigation Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in lawn care and landscape maintenance, with hands-on experience in installing, repairing, and maintaining irrigation systems. This role requires mechanical knowledge and the ability to work with various tools and equipment to ensure efficient water distribution for gardens and landscapes.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair irrigation systems for residential and commercial properties.
• Assess the irrigation needs of different landscapes and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for installation and repairs.
• Dig trenches for irrigation lines using appropriate techniques and equipment.
• Conduct regular inspections of irrigation systems to identify issues or inefficiencies.
• Troubleshoot problems related to water flow, pressure, and system functionality.
• Collaborate with landscape maintenance teams to ensure optimal plant health through effective irrigation practices.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, including repairs made and materials used.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in lawn care, landscape maintenance, or a related field is preferred.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate various hand tools and power tools.
• Familiarity with different types of irrigation systems and their components.
• Ability to dig trenches and perform physical labor as required by the job.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in assessing irrigation needs.
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
• A valid driver's license is preferred for travel between job sites.
