Duties

• Install, troubleshoot, and repair various irrigation systems, including sprinkler heads, controllers, valves, and pumps
• Conduct regular inspections of irrigation infrastructure to identify leaks, blockages, or malfunctions
• Perform electrical diagnostics on irrigation equipment to ensure proper operation and safety compliance
• Adjust watering schedules based on soil science data, weather patterns, and landscape needs to optimize water efficiency
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy machinery such as excavators for system installation or repairs
• Assist with landscape maintenance tasks including lawn care, planting, pruning, and soil management
• Collaborate with horticulture specialists to develop irrigation plans that support healthy plant growth and sustainable landscaping practices

Experience

• Proven experience working with irrigation systems, including installation and maintenance
• Mechanical knowledge of plumbing and electrical systems related to irrigation equipment
• Familiarity with soil science principles to inform watering strategies and landscape health
• Construction experience or hands-on work with heavy machinery like excavators is a plus
• Knowledge of landscaping techniques, lawn care practices, and general horticulture principles
