Groundskeeper/Porter

Position Summary

The Groundskeeper is responsible for maintaining the community’s curb appeal and keeping all areas of the community clean and attractive for residents and guests. This individual will also have some exposure to other areas of community maintenance, such as service requests, which Groundskeepers contribute to community retention efforts by taking initiative in maintaining community appearance and providing the highest level of customer service at all times. Performs a variety of cleaning/maintenance duties as assigned Essential Functions – included but not limited to: * Conduct thorough cleaning and pick-up of debris throughout the property, cleaning up sidewalks of litter, pet droppings and debris. * Informs Supervisor of needed supplies. Assist other maintenance personnel as needed. * Removes trash from premises and assists in emergency cleaning. * Ability to properly utilize new equipment and follow safety procedures prior to using this equipment. * Maintains friendly and professional attitude. * Responsible for maintaining the appropriate level of sanitary and cleaning supplies for assigned areas. * Inspects all assigned areas daily and reports all cleaning and maintenance discrepancies to Supervisor. * Ensures that security and safety procedures are adhered to at all times. * Maintains working relationship with maintenance staff. * Completes daily work orders as scheduled. * Responsible for maintaining the appropriate level of sanitary and cleaning supplies for assigned areas. * Maintains assigned equipment in good working condition. * Ability to properly utilize new equipment and follow safety procedures prior to using this equipment.

Education/Training
