Carries out a wide variety of highly skilled grounds keeping operations/activities. Assists with work in other trade areas as assigned. Plans, directs and participates in snow removal activities.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities

Provides landscaping services for Facility grounds.

lAssumes responsibility for the lay out, installation and maintenance of lawns and a variety of trees, shrubs and flowers on all hospital properties. Plants grass seed and lays sod. Determines need for fertilizers, weed killers and other lawn care products; and arranges for purchase and appropriate application/use.

* Arranges schedules for watering, mowing, weeding and other lawn upkeep activities. As circumstances require, takes steps to save or revive plantings afflicted by dry weather, weeds, grubs or other problems; by modifying maintenance and upkeep activities. Consults with outside lawn care and/or landscaping specialists, as required, to assure maintaining the attractive appearance of all outside hospital properties.

Provides for snow and ice removal.
