Groundskeeper/Cemetery

Job Overview

We are seeking someone honest, dependable and dedicated to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the aesthetic appeal and functionality of our outdoor spaces. Cemetery ground maintenance, cemetery operations including burial, entombments, setting monuments, and lawn care.

Responsibilities

• Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, and edging lawns.
• Open and close graves
• Setting Monuments
• Care for gardens by planting, watering, weeding, and fertilizing plants as needed.
• Operate and maintain power tools such as lawnmowers, trimmers, and blowers safely and efficiently.
• Utilize hand tools for various landscaping tasks to ensure high-quality results.
• Maintain cleanliness of outdoor areas by removing debris and litter regularly.
• Assist in seasonal landscaping projects such as planting flowers or installing new features.

Requirements

• Experience in landscape maintenance or groundskeeping is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with lawn care techniques and garden maintenance practices.
• Ability to operate various power tools and hand tools safely and effectively.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality in work performed.
• Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• A valid driver’s license may be required depending on job location and responsibilities.
• Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
