Groundskeeper Assistant

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Groundskeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the aesthetic appeal and functionality of our outdoor spaces. This role requires a passion for landscape maintenance, attention to detail, and the ability to work with various tools and equipment. As a Groundskeeper, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our grounds are well-kept and inviting.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular landscape maintenance tasks, including mowing, trimming, and edging lawns.
• Irrigate gardens and landscaped areas to ensure proper hydration and growth.
• Maintain flower beds, shrubs, and trees through planting, pruning, and weeding.
• Utilize power tools such as lawnmowers, trimmers, and blowers for efficient groundskeeping.
• Operate hand tools effectively for various gardening tasks.
• Monitor the health of plants and landscapes, reporting any issues or concerns promptly.
• Ensure that all groundskeeping equipment is well-maintained and stored properly after use.
• Collaborate with team members to complete larger landscaping projects as needed.

Requirements

• Proven experience in landscape maintenance or groundskeeping is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with irrigation systems and techniques is a plus.
• Ability to operate power tools safely and effectively.
• Strong knowledge of lawn care practices and garden maintenance techniques.
• Excellent attention to detail with a strong work ethic.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in various weather conditions.
• Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks throughout the day.
