Groundskeeper and Maintenance Tech

Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and proactive Groundskeeper and Light Maintenance Technician to keep our community clean, safe, and looking its best. This role is perfect for a well-rounded handyperson who enjoys a mix of outdoor groundskeeping (like trash removal and keeping the property tidy) and indoor light maintenance for our building and individual units. The ideal candidate has a great work ethic, a sharp eye for detail, and a hands-on approach to keeping our residents happy and our property well-maintained.

Duties

• Grounds & Curb Appeal: Daily walk-throughs to pick up trash, empty common area bins, and ensure the exterior of the property is clean, welcoming, and presentable.
• Unit & Building Maintenance: Handle light maintenance requests for individual resident units and common areas (e.g., fixing leaky faucets, replacing lightbulbs, repairing drywall, unclogging drains, and tightening fixtures).
• Turnover Support: Assist with basic painting, patching, and minor cosmetic repairs to prepare vacant units for new residents.
• Preventative Checks: Conduct routine walkthroughs to spot and report any larger maintenance needs, safety hazards, or property damage.
• Resident Service: Respond to basic maintenance requests with a friendly, helpful, and professional attitude.

Qualifications

• Experience: Proven experience in general handyperson work, apartment maintenance, or basic property upkeep.
• Skills: Strong basic skills in plumbing (fixing leaks, running toilets), light electrical (changing fixtures, switches, bulbs), and general carpentry/drywall repair.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to be on your feet, work outdoors in various weather conditions, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Reliability: A self-starter who can work independently, manage a daily task list, and take pride in keeping a property clean.
