Crew Manager- Landscape Maintenance & Fine Detail Operations

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Crew Manager to lead and work alongside our landscape maintenance team. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing daily crew operations, maintaining high-quality landscape standards, and ensuring all equipment is properly maintained and operating safely. The ideal candidate will have strong plant knowledge, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional results in high-end urban landscapes and downtown courtyard environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise, and work directly alongside landscape maintenance crews in the field.
• Oversee daily operations to ensure projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to company standards.
• Monitor crew productivity, quality of work, and adherence to schedules.
• Train, mentor, and develop crew members in proper horticultural and maintenance practices.
• Ensure all landscape equipment, tools, and vehicles are properly maintained, serviced, and operated safely.
• Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and minor repairs on landscape equipment.
• Maintain and troubleshoot small engine equipment, including Toro and Stihl products.
• Identify plant health issues, pests, diseases, and irrigation concerns and implement appropriate solutions.
• Maintain the highest standards of fine-detail landscape maintenance, with a primary focus on downtown courtyards and high-visibility commercial properties.
• Communicate effectively with management, clients, and crew members regarding site conditions, priorities, and project updates.
• Ensure compliance with all company safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of landscape maintenance experience with supervisory or crew leadership responsibilities.
• Strong horticultural and plant identification knowledge required.
