Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Arborist Climber to join our team at Elevated Tree Care & North Hills Tree Service. This role is ideal for a safety-focused professional with strong climbing ability and a deep understanding of arboriculture practices. You will play a key role in performing technical tree work, supporting crew operations, and ensuring high-quality service on residential, commercial, and utility projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform advanced tree climbing (DdRT/SRT) for pruning, removals, and technical rigging operations
• Safely execute all aspects of arboriculture, including:

+ Tree identification and species knowledge + Tree risk assessments + Structural pruning and canopy management + Tree removals and storm damage work + Cabling, bracing, and support systems + Prune and remove trees near utilities, structures, and other sensitive targets + Remove hazardous limbs from utility lines, roofs, and obstructed areas + Operate and maintain equipment, including chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts, and rigging gear + Work collaboratively with crew members and assist Crew Leaders in job execution + Maintain strict adherence to safety standards, company policies, and industry best practices + Inspect and prepare gear, tools, and equipment before and after use

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional tree climbing experience (DdRT and/or SRT preferred)
• Experience with aerial lift operation and advanced rigging techniques
• Strong knowledge of ANSI standards and proper pruning practices
• Ability to perform physically demanding work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Valid driver’s license required (CDL preferred)
