Apartment Groundskeeper / Maintenance Assistant

Job Summary

Timber Ridge Apartments and Blue Sky Lofts are seeking a dependable and hardworking Apartment Groundskeeper / Maintenance Assistant to help maintain the appearance and cleanliness of our communities. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, staying active throughout the day, and taking pride in keeping a property looking its best.

The Groundskeeper plays an important role in creating a positive experience for residents by maintaining common areas, amenities, landscaping, and overall property appearance.

Responsibilities

• Pick up trash and debris throughout the property
• Maintain the cleanliness of sidewalks, parking lots, breezeways, stairwells, and common areas
• Clean and maintain laundry rooms, fitness centers, clubhouse areas, dog parks, and community amenities
• Clean dumpster enclosures and surrounding areas
• Assist with pool area cleaning and seasonal preparation
• Perform light landscaping duties including weeding, shrub trimming, watering, and general grounds upkeep
• Assist with apartment turns and make-ready preparation
• Help maintenance technicians with property projects as assigned
• Maintain maintenance shops, storage rooms, and inventory areas in an organized manner
• Report safety concerns, vandalism, and maintenance issues
• Participate in snow removal and ice mitigation during winter weather
• Follow company safety policies and procedures

Requirements

• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
• Ability to work independently and stay productive throughout the day
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Positive attitude and willingness to assist team members
• Previous groundskeeping, landscaping, janitorial, maintenance, construction, or property management experience is preferred but not required
