Hotel Equities, a multi-award-winning hotel development and hospitality management company, is currently searching for a Seasonal Landscaper for the Mar Monte Hotel in Santa Barbara, CA.

Job Purpose

The Landscaper ensures the safe, efficient, and well-maintained operation of hotel facilities by performing routine and preventative maintenance, addressing guest and team member requests, and supporting the overall upkeep of mechanical, electrical, and structural systems.

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance on hotel rooms, equipment, fixtures, and systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc.).
• Respond promptly to guest and team member maintenance requests with professionalism and urgency.
• Troubleshoot and repair malfunctions in guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify and resolve potential safety hazards or maintenance needs.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
• Collaborate with external vendors and contractors as needed for specialized repairs.
• Ensure tools, equipment, and work areas are maintained in a clean, organized, and safe manner.
• Support energy conservation and sustainability initiatives.
• Follow all safety protocols and emergency procedures.
• Assist with seasonal tasks such as snow removal, landscaping, or pool maintenance as needed.
• Ensure customer satisfaction at all times, modeling and adhering to the Guest Service Standards
• Ensure compliance with all company, state, local and federal policies/guidelines pertaining to the maintenance of a clean, safe environment for associates, guests and vendors.
• Ensure proper operations of the hotel’s equipment and systems, to include life safety, telecommunications, key control, HVAC, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, power plant, pool, kitchen equipment, laundry equipment and any other related systems and equipment.
