Lawn and Landscape Technician

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Landscape Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for outdoor work and a strong understanding of horticulture and landscape maintenance. This role involves a variety of tasks that contribute to the beautification and upkeep of residential and commercial properties. The Landscape Technician will work with hand tools, power tools, and machinery, ensuring that landscapes are healthy, attractive, and well-maintained.

Duties

• Perform landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing, trimming, edging, and weeding to ensure properties are aesthetically pleasing.
• Operate excavators and other machinery for landscaping projects, including grading and site preparation.
• Install and maintain irrigation systems to ensure efficient water usage for plants and lawns.
• Utilize gardening techniques to plant flowers, shrubs, trees, and other vegetation according to design specifications.
• Conduct regular inspections of landscapes to identify issues such as pests or diseases and take appropriate action.
• Maintain equipment by performing routine checks and repairs; demonstrate mechanical knowledge in troubleshooting equipment issues.
• Collaborate with team members on larger landscape construction projects, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

Qualifications

• Experience in landscape maintenance or horticulture is preferred.
• Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools relevant to landscaping tasks.
• Knowledge of irrigation systems installation and maintenance is an asset.
• Familiarity with gardening practices and plant care techniques.
• Strong mechanical knowledge for equipment operation and maintenance.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while performing physical labor.
