Landscaper

Year-round employment!

The Landscaper is responsible for the installation and maintenance of perennial and annual beds. Assist in the pruning of trees and shrubs; landscape installation, turf management, snow removal and general maintenance of the grounds (82 acres) of Pennswood Village, under the direction of the Landscape Manager. The candidate should have a strong background in horticulture.

• Install and maintain perennial and annual beds.
• Assist in the pruning of landscape according to trade standards.
• Install new landscape material according to design concepts and trade standards.
• Maintain turf areathe s of village, including mowing, fertilization, insect, disease and weed control.
• Use appropriate control methods to manage insect and disease problems on ornamentals.
• Assist in the removal of snow from Pennswood Village.
• Regular attendance at seminars and continuing education programs.
• Keep accurate records, work with vendors, and have problem-solving skills during time of emergency situations.
• Perform other duties as assigned
