Help Wanted: Landscaping and Snow & Ice Removal

, a family-owned business in Saco, Maine, is looking for a hardworking and experienced individual to join our team as a Landscaping and Snow Plowing Specialist. Responsibilities

Landscaping Duties

• Perform all aspects of landscaping, including mowing, trimming, planting, mulching, and general lawn care
• Operate and maintain Walker mowers and other landscaping equipment, such as edgers, trimmers, blowers, and chainsaws
• Safely use power tools for pruning, hedge trimming, and small-scale tree work
• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on landscaping equipment to ensure smooth operation
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment on-site and in company vehicles
• Gutter Maintenance- Inspect and performing gutter cleaning on single story storage units.

Snow Removal Duties

• Operate snow removal equipment, including plows, snow blowers, and salt spreaders, to clear driveways, parking lots, and walkways
• Safely drive and operate trucks equipped with plows for efficient snow clearing on residential and commercial properties
• Utilize knowledge of snow removal techniques and best practices to ensure safe and effective clearing
• Perform pre- and post-operation checks on all snow removal equipment to ensure safety and functionality
• Respond promptly to snow events, often during early morning hours, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed

Qualifications

• Prior experience in landscaping, groundskeeping, and/or snow removal is preferred
• Skilled in operating and maintaining Walker mowers, power tools, and snow removal equipment
• Experience running heavy machinery such as skid steers, loaders, backhoes, and plow trucks
