Mindfully Designed was created as an extension of our sister company, Mindful Construction, a design-build firm specializing in custom outdoor living spaces throughout the East Bay. We combine thoughtful design with exceptional craftsmanship to create beautiful, functional outdoor environments that enhance the way our clients live.

We are seeking a highly organized, client-focused design professional to lead clients through our design process from initial concept through construction-ready handoff.

This is not a CAD drafting position. We have an internal design and rendering team that produces the technical drawings and 3D visualizations. We are looking for someone who can bridge the gap between client vision, design intent, and construction execution.

Position Overview

The Landscape Design Consultant is responsible for guiding clients through the entire design development process after a project has been sold by our sales team.

This role combines landscape design knowledge, plant expertise, material selection, client communication, and construction awareness. The ideal candidate understands both hardscape and softscape design and can confidently help clients make decisions regarding layouts, materials, products, and plant selections while ensuring designs are practical, buildable, and aligned with project budgets.

Responsibilities

Client Design Development

• Review completed design questionnaires and project information.
• Schedule and conduct design meetings with clients.
• Understand client goals, preferences, lifestyle, and project priorities.
• Develop design direction and recommendations for outdoor living spaces.
• Guide clients through design decisions while maintaining project scope and budget.

Design Coordination

• Collaborate with our CAD and rendering team to communicate design intent.
