At Alterra Landscape Design, our Principal Team Leaders don't simply manage projects—they lead a business within our business.

This position is designed for an experienced landscape professional who wants the freedom, responsibility, and financial opportunity of business ownership without assuming the risks of starting from scratch.

You will build relationships with clients, create exceptional outdoor environments, lead construction teams, and operate with a high degree of independence while being supported by proven systems, marketing, and operational resources.

Primary Responsibilities

• Lead a division producing approximately $750,000 to $1.75 million in annual revenue.
• Develop lasting relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and trade partners.
• Guide clients through Alterra's Explore, Design, and Build process.
• Design, sell, and oversee high-end residential outdoor living projects.
• Deliver projects that meet Alterra's standards for quality, profitability, safety, and client satisfaction.
• Operate independently while consistently following established company processes.
• Maintain exceptional standards of communication, timeliness, organization, and accountability.

Background & Experience

We're looking for leaders who possess:

• 5+ years of experience in landscape design and outdoor construction.
• Experience selling, designing, and managing residential landscape projects.
• A 4 year bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Landscape Architecture, Horticulture, or a related field is required.
• Proven accuracy with numbers and metrics (KPIs) based decision making.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• An entrepreneurial mindset with a desire to build something meaningful.
• A passion for serving clients and improving the communities where we work.
