Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced Landscape Construction Foreman to lead crews on residential and commercial installation projects. You will be responsible for the day-to-day execution of job sites, ensuring work is completed on time, on budget, and to a high standard. The ideal candidate has hands-on construction experience, a genuine knowledge of California native plants, and the leadership skills to motivate a crew and represent Grounded Landscapes well in front of clients.

Key Responsibilities

Crew Leadership

• Lead a crew on landscape construction job sites
• Assign daily tasks, set the pace, and maintain a safe, professional work environment
• Train and mentor crew members on proper installation techniques and plant handling
• Communicate job site progress and issues to the project manager

Landscape Construction

• Install hardscape elements including pathways, patios, boulders, and drainage systems, extensive masonry and carpentry experience is preferred
• Plant California native trees, shrubs, perennials, and groundcovers according to plan specifications
• Install irrigation systems (drip and spray) and perform troubleshooting
• Install low voltage lighting
• Install rainwater capture systems
• Perform grading, soil preparation, and mulching to support plant establishment
• Read and interpret landscape design plans, construction documents, and planting schedules
