Landscape Architect

The S/L/A/M Collaborative has an opportunity for a Landscape Architect with a minimum of 5-10+ years of experience to join the firm in our Glastonbury, CT office. SLAM is an award-winning studio-based design firm with exciting and challenging campus planning and detailed site design projects throughout the nation. Job Responsibilities include:* Collaborate in a supporting role with LA design lead/project manager on various project teams with several in-house disciplines * Manage projects and project teams with several in-house disciplines, in addition to coordinating with various consultants * Develop and express strong planning and design concepts * Attend client meetings in-house and at client sites * Produce creative and convincing presentations in multiple formats * Translate design concepts into CAD-based technical drawings and specifications

Key Skills

:* 5-10+ years of experience preferred * Strong written and verbal communications skills * Experience in complex site grading, construction documentation, and construction administration * Strong technical skills with site layout, planting, grading/surface drainage, and construction detailing * Experience with AutoCAD/Civil3D and LandFX * Multi-media 2D and 3D design and documentation skills using software such as Sketch Up, Rhino, Lumion, Adobe Suite, and Microsoft programs * Highly motivated, good team player with the ability to juggle multiple tasks, collaborate with large multi-disciplinary teams, and work well under deadlines * Ability to work independently with proficient organizational and time management skills * Licensure in the state of CT preferred * Undergraduate or Graduate Degree in Landscape Architecture required
