IB Landscaper

Basic Function

Landscapers work with various types of lawn equipment and hand tools while maintaining a safe work environment.

Specific Responsibilities

• Trimming trees and other simple landscaping duties
• Work with other departments as needed to complete duties.
• Maintain compliance with all safety rules, procedures, and regulations.
• Maintain positive interaction with other employees and Guests.
• Maintains cleanliness and safety in assigned work area and performs all duties in compliance with Indiana Beach Safety guidelines and requirements and reports all unsafe or unusual conditions to supervision.
• Other tasks and duties as assigned.

Requirements

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities Required

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Familiarity with leaf blower, weed trimmer, edger, chain saw and irrigation systems a plus.
• Have knowledge of outdoor power equipment, repair and maintenance.
• Must be able to climb ladders, work in heat and all weather conditions.
• Lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
• Must be able to work varied shifts, days, nights, and weekends including extended hours when required and willing to work under various weather conditions.
• Must be able to stoop, bend, and lift regularly.
• Must be self-motivated and able to perform tasks with minimal supervision.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license, a good driving record, and successfully complete all authorized employment screenings and criminal background checks.
