About the Role

The Groundskeeper plays a vital role in maintaining the aesthetic appeal and safety of outdoor environments by performing a variety of landscaping and maintenance tasks. This position ensures that lawns, gardens, and other green spaces are well-kept, healthy, and visually pleasing to visitors and residents alike. The Groundskeeper is responsible for the upkeep of grounds equipment and must adhere to safety protocols while working in diverse weather conditions. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying and addressing landscaping needs, including planting, trimming, and general grounds maintenance. Minimum Qualifications

• Ability to climb ladders safely and work at heights as required.
• Basic math skills, including the ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers for measurements and material calculations.
• Capability to follow both oral and written instructions accurately.
• Physical ability to perform frequent bending, lifting, and manual labor throughout the workday.
• Demonstrated professionalism and a positive attitude in previous work or volunteer experiences.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in landscaping or grounds maintenance.
• Familiarity with the use and maintenance of landscaping equipment and tools.
• Knowledge of plant care, pest control, and soil management.
• Certification or training in safety procedures related to groundskeeping.
• Strong depth perception to safely operate machinery and perform detailed landscaping tasks.
