Key Responsibilities

• The Groundskeeper ensures that all campus walkways, landscapes, and infrastructure are presented in a professional manner. Your main duties will include:
• Seasonal Landscape Care: Execute a rotating schedule of grounds maintenance, including mowing, edging, aerating, fertilizing, and maintaining flower beds.
• Winter Operations: Ensure the safety of the campus community by clearing snow and ice from sidewalks and driveways using shovels, salt, and de-icing equipment.
• Campus Pride & Cleanliness: Maintain a litter-free environment by regularly emptying trash containers and clearing debris from campus features, such as fountains and courtyards.
• Equipment Stewardship: Operate and perform minor maintenance on power mowers, blowers, saws, tractors, and forklifts to ensure maximum efficiency.
• Trade Support: Collaborate with other maintenance trades (plumbing, electrical, etc.) by assisting with the general clean-up and site preparation of work areas.
• Operational Readiness: Complete other groundskeeping, labor, and maintenance tasks as assigned to meet the daily needs of the University.

Required Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent (OR 12 months of relevant experience).
