POSITION SUMMARY

*An Assistant Sports Field Manager is responsible for help in providing athletic field maintenance services on a day to day basis.*

Essential Functions

• *Provide field maintenance including mowing, trimming, painting, and edging.*
• *Perform game set-up and tear-down as required*
• *Apply fertilizer, pesticides, and herbicides under supervision of Turf Manager according to OISC guidelines*
• *Maintain and repair equipment*

* *Strong work ethic, reliable, timely, rapid learner, and goal-oriented.*

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education

*A minimum of a high school diploma or GED required.*

Experience

*No experience necessary. Experience in athletic field management or lawn care preferred.*

Certificates & Licenses

*Driver’s license including clean and clear driving record. A pesticide applicators license is expected to be obtained within one year of employment.*

Physical Requirements

*May work outdoors in inclement weather, ability to lift >50 pounds on a regular basis, ability to operate heavy machinery.*

WORK ENVIRONMENT

*EX:* Work is performed primarily in outdoor settings, in all weather conditions, including temperature extremes. Work hours are variable based on season.

COMPENSATION

Compensation range based on experience. This position is a non-exempt position. Employees are eligible for overtime in accordance with federal and state law. Holidays and PTO guaranteed.
