In this role, you will assist in the maintenance of public parks, property, and rights-of-way using a variety of machines, tools and equipment.

### Examples of Duties:

* Works on a crew under general supervision. * Cuts lawns. * Trims and edges around walks, flower beds, and walls. * Prunes shrubs and trees to shape and improve growth or remove damaged leaves, branches, or twigs. * Sprays lawn, shrubs, and trees with fertilizer, herbicides, and insecticides. * Rakes and bags or burns leaves. * Cleans grounds and removes litter. * Cleans out drainage ditches and culverts. * Sharpens tools such as weed cutters, edging tools, and shears. * Makes minor on-site repairs to equipment such as lawn mower, spreader, and weed trimming equipment. * Receives instruction and training in proper safety precautions * Performs other duties as assigned. ### Basic Qualifications:

• A high school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Six months related experience
• Valid state issued driver’s license
