Job Description

Parks, Recreation and Tourism is seeking a motivated, outgoing individual that enjoys working outside and can provide exemplary customer service.

Grounds Maintenance team promotes and improves the appearance and safety of the City’s outdoor areas including parks, recreation and municipal facilities, athletic fields, open space, and various other outdoor sites within the City. This position will assist with repair and construction of facility grounds, in addition to supporting city-wide special event logistics .

Overall primary tasks include but are not limited to

* Provides exceptional internal and external customer service to a diverse population; responds to requests for services and inquires, as directed by supervisor that meets the expectations of the City’s Customer Service and CARES Initiative.

* Operates various lawn and garden equipment, tractor, City vehicles, common hand and power tools.

* Maintains landscaping, grounds, sidewalks, fixtures, fences, playgrounds, shorelines, ballfields and parking lots surrounding all City facilities.
